GETTING TO CORK

Cork airport is located just 10 minutes from Cork City centre. Bus and taxi services are available just outside the arrivals area.
Cork Airport offers direct flights from almost 50 destinations around Europe and a direct transatlantic flight to North America.
GETTING AROUND CORK
Bus Éireann operate a huge number of routes from Cork city centre to all parts of Cork including towns and villages on the Wild Atlantic Way and Ireland’s Ancient East.
Walking is also a great option if you’re wanting to see the sights of CorkCity Centre.
Bikes are available for public hire, with over 30 docking stations located across Cork City Centre. Bikes are available from 6am to midnight. Journeys of 30 minutes or less are free and visitors can sign up for a 3-day pass using a credit card. The TFI Bikes App is perfect for cycle adventures in the city on the TFI Bikes, with help on station locations, bike and stand availability & route planning.
Taxis can be pre-booked by contacting a local taxi company. Some have mobile apps which can be used to book a taxi via your phone. Accessible wheelchair-friendly taxis and seven seater taxis are available from some taxi companies.
TRAVELLING TO THE CONFERENCE VENUE
Fota Island Resort is located just 15 kilometres from Cork City and easily accessible by car and train.
Located outside the periphery of cork city centre, all the attractions of the city are a mere 15 minutes’ drive from Fota Island Resort, including St. Patricks Street and the heart of the shopping district.
Fota Island Resort is easily reached via rail, road and air. Cork International Airport is approximately a 20 minute drive from the hotel. Kent Train Station is situated at the outskirts of the city centre, is approximately a 12 minute drive from the resort.
The Train from Kent station to the Carrigtwohill stop, close to the resort, leaves every 30 minutes.
